We think geography is the most important influence on a country's history because a country couldn't have people in it if people did not know the geography, such as if mountais are round or lakes.  For example, the mountains in Colombia helped the guerrilla groups to hide.  Also, if a country had a lot of gold in its history, it would be rich.
